Department of Creative Technology and Product Design

The Department of Creative Technology and Product Design aims to cultivate students with professional knowledge and practical skills in Product Creative Design and Intelligent Technology Applications, forming the two main pillars of our curriculum. The program focuses on developing interdisciplinary talents capable of integrating design, technology, and innovation.

Our curriculum covers a wide range of fields, including Industrial Design, Human Factors Engineering, Interaction Design, Creative Technology Applications, and Artificial Intelligence Applications.

The Product Design track emphasizes the process of design and development, enabling students to understand market demands, consumer behavior, and production strategies. Students learn to conduct market research, plan product strategies, design form and function, test and evaluate prototypes, and manage production and promotion. They also gain proficiency in applying engineering and material sciences to achieve design goals, and in using tools such as CAD/CAM for design and manufacturing.

The Creative Technology track introduces students to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and interactive design. This track encourages creativity and interdisciplinary collaboration, guiding students to apply technology in real-world product development. Students learn to enhance product performance, optimize user experience, and create interactive and immersive designs through innovative technology applications.

Overall, the department is committed to fostering students’ abilities in design innovation and creative technology integration, preparing them to become professional designers and developers capable of applying their knowledge in both academic and industrial fields.
